Branding
Branding is something that I have always been drawn to. Being able to help a customer come to a resolution while building and growing their business is an awesome feeling.
My process with any branding I make is ask myself or the customer a few questions.
What do I/you want this business to say to it audience? What age group am I/you going for? What does this company represent?
I usually create a mood board full of things that inspire me and help me with the theme and mood of the company.
From there I move to the name, typography, and colors.
Once I have all of those things in order, I move to the logo. Logos are one of my favorite things to make. It is so amazing to be able to look at a single logo and know what that business is about. The logo is the first impression any company makes on the consumer and you want it to say everything all at once while engaging and pulling the customers in.
I throughly enjoy being able to come up with every aspect of a company and target a specific audience with my product.

Pekoe is a company I created from the ground up. The main objective in the end, was to have a physical product.
The most challenging aspect of this project, for me, was the logo. How I overcome this challenge was taking myself back to the mood board and the intention that the product was meant to show. For this process, I had to think about what I wanted the final outcome to look like and how I wanted this product to look on the shelves of a grocery store.

Holy Toledo Burrito was a self-appointed project that I used to experiment with brighter, exciting colors in a brand. I enjoyed this process because I normally only work with more muted colors that aren’t too bright and over powering.
The challenge I faced with this project was using the brighter colors. How I overcame this was limiting the bright colors to a select few in order to not overwhelm the customer.

Pollchaps is a local screen print & embroidery shop in Brandon, MS. I worked closely with the owner of the business to come up with a brand manual to help their employees with any question they might have regarding the branding guidelines as well as the mission and voice that they were trying to represent. This brand manual also help set a standard for the work that they do as well as how they want to treat their customers.
A challenge I faced while working on this project was making sure I had all of the correct information from the client. It was more difficult for me to collect all of the correct information from a company that has been in business since 2006 compared to creating a new company where you can decide all of the information from the start.

Cocoa Ben was a company that I made in 2023.
The challenge of this brand was to include one of my friends names along with their favorite snack. My friends name ended up being Ben and his favorite snack was chocolate.
This project was really exciting. I feel like when you work with customers, you have challenges thrown at you regularly so pushing myself with this challenge was great experience and amazing practice.

Logo Design
When I am working on a logo design or re-design, I start by getting to know the company as a whole. I always want to be able to sit down with the client and be able to understand fully what they want their company and logo to show to their audience.
A logo is a first impression and just like any person would want for themselves, you want your companies logo to make a good first impression and keep customers coming back.

Blue Stone Brew is a company that I created and used as a practice logo. I started by deciding the name. The company itself is a coffee company. However, what would the logo look like if you took the literal words, “Blue Stone” and created a coffee bean that was blue? I wanted to take it a step further and try to include two B’s into the coffee bean.
The challenges that I faced while making this logo were keeping the shape of a coffee bean while also making sure the B’s stood out just enough.

The pictures below show advertisement and marketing I did for Pollchaps’ social media. Their goal was to bring in more customers during their slow periods and entice the customers with their new products, as well as some deals they had going on at the time.
The challenge I faced while doing advertising for Pollchaps was incorporating their branding guidelines throughout each post while also keeping it subtle and inviting.
